I was generously offered press tickets to see The Berenstain Bears LIVE! in Family Matters the Musical in NYC. While we haven't made it to a performance yet, I must let you know about this family-friendly musical before its limited run is up! Who of our generation does not remember the Berenstain Bears? Beloved Mama, Papa, Brother and Sister (and a few more familiar characters) make their way into this show, singing and dancing while teaching very important lessons for the little ones and big ones alike. The 60-minute show is appropriate for children of all ages, but I've been told it is best enjoyed by children over 2. With all the kids in the audience, however, who cares if your little one gets a bit restless? The worst than can happen is that you need to step outside for a moment (you'll probably have a lot of company!)

ReplyDeleteWe are happy to announce that The Berenstain Bears LIVE! in Family Matters, the Musical has extended for a third time, beginning November 5th at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre (5 West 63rd Street), for an open-ended run.
The show plays Saturdays at 11am and Sundays at 2pm. It runs 55 minutes with no intermission and every ticket includes a FREE Berenstain Bears post-show dance party, face painting, and photos with the Berenstain Bears!
Special added holiday performances:
Friday, November 25th at 11am
Wednesday, December 28th at 11am
Thursday, December 29th at 11am
Friday, December 30th at 11am
Normal playing schedule resumes January 7th, 2012.
I recently just saw the Berenstain Bears LIVE at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre! It was the perfect amount of time, my kids were enthralled with the performance through the entire show and they are still humming the songs. It was a perfect daytime activity for you to spend with your kids.

fun show that teaches good lessons and is great for kids of all ages!
