How was the Renaissance Fair? I want to go before they close!!
ReplyDeleteWe've been trying to get to the Ren Fair, too - lo0ks like it's this weekend or not at all! I *love* pickles...
ReplyDeleteI think they just do an amazing job with the Ren Fair! I have not been before this year and it really feels like you are walking through a Renaissance Village. So many people dress up--although some dress as fairies, elves and mythical creatures that seemed out of place to me--and the shops are great. We didn't get to see the joust or any of the shows, but everybody seemed to just really be enjoying themselves. The only bad thing--the place was packed! We have to park on the side of the road near a swamp! Eek.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and you have to use porta potties and the food lines are super long for less than spectacular food. Other than that, I think its worth a trip!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE Ren Faires... had to miss ours this year though.
ReplyDeleteI freaking love his sword and his hair.
P.S. Just think of porta potties as part of the authenticity, they didn't have plumbing in that era! ;-) Charming, right?
